Brayden Jones is a 2021 RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Quick arm in back coming to a high 3/4's slot, drifts quickly towards the plate with limited gather but arm is fast enough to catch up, pretty low effort directional mechanics with good extension out front. Fastball works in the low 90's, topped out at 93 mph, stays on top of his fastball well and gets some sink and run down in the zone. Curveball shows good 12/6 downer depth, showed nice feel for a low 80's change up with some fading life. Has a good idea how to mix and work to zones with all his pitches, definite starter profile. Impressive performance. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
