Carlos Gonzalez is a 2023 1B/LHP with a 5-10 205 lb. frame from Spring Hill, FL who attends Hernando HS. Recorded an 8.09 second 60-yard dash time. Strong build with strength present throughout the build. Primary first baseman who stays low to the ground and throws from a sidearm slot. Transitions to the throwing hand were clean and easy and made all the plays nicely. Secondary lefthanded pitcher with an athletic delivery and clean arm action. Good run on the fastball that topped out at 82 mph. Locates the pitch to both halves of the plate with consistency. Very good feel for pitching and advanced feel to spin the ball. Backdoors the curveball for strikes and lands it at will. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Short swing and works to the pull side. Has strength at impact and keeps hands close to the body. Strength-oriented swing. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
