Brycen Jewell is a 2020 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Jefferson, GA who attends Jefferson HS. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.30 runner, has sound fundamentals behind the plate with a compact controlled release, gets on top of his throws well, has solid arm strength. Also plays the infield with some athleticism and arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a long extended swing and the beginnings of some bat speed, repeats his mechanics and timing well, mid field to pull side contact. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery with a compact arm action and high 3/4's arm slot, stays on line well and gets good lower half drive. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with good sink down in the zone. Change up flashed nasty sinking life. Curveball had good power and tight spin, throws all three pitches for strikes. Very well rounded player who has had lots of repetitions and could develop further at multiple positions. Good student.
