Troy Ford is a 2025 OF/SS with a 5-10 148 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Home school. Slender young build, room to get stronger but will never be big. Quick twitch athlete, 6.81 runner in the sixty but plays much faster on the baseball field. Versatile defensive player, has skills and tools both in the infield and outfield, fast to the ball and quick to get rid of it, very soft hands at the ball, good fundamentals, probably works best at second base in the future but a six-position fielder at present. Switch-hitter at the plate, hits from a straight stance with good direction into contact from both sides, more of an all fields line drive approach from the right side, has more lift from the left side, speed is impactful on the bases. Fun player to watch play. Very good student, verbal commitment to Georgia.
