2019 Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase
Weston Dow is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends John Carroll Catholic. Showed a smaller frame with a young build showing plenty of room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.75 second sixty yard dash. Primary Firstbaseman who showed athletic footwork doing a good job working through the baseball. Flashed a clean glove with quick transfers as well. Secondary Righthanded pitcher utilizing a waist high leg lift before working into a compact arm action delivering from a higher three-quarter slot. He showed a full follow through while throwing slightly across his body. Fastball showed slight cut run sitting in the low- to mid-70's. Righthanded hitter starting from a narrow stance with weight on back side. Flashed a slight back shoulder drop before using an uphill swing path with a gap to gap approach.
