Jared Matey is a 2022 OF/MIF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Episcopal. Medium frame with a compact build showing fast twitch muscle throughout. Ran a 6.64 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, flashed range as he worked into the baseball smoothly. Scooped it up and transferred with urgency. Carries weight well into release as he threw it 82 mph from a higher slot release. Fundamentally sound with feel for the position present. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out and sitting down a bit in his stance. Hands get high as he works into separation. Slight bat wrap before working into a linear cut. Bat speed present as he drove it on a line into the gaps. Feel for the barrel present as he proved he could square it up. Great Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
