Jesus Pena is a 2022 SS/3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Springs. Seriously big and strong build with present physical maturity. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a big leg lift load that isn't needed and impacts his timing, busy hands to load, swings with intent and big raw bat speed, very strong hips to torque his swing, natural swing puts the ball in the air, can really drive the ball when everything is timed up, easy power and juice, will keep improving as he simplifies his swing. Good athlete for his size, 7.05 runner in the sixty, moves well in the infield, hands are a bit hard out front but have quickness, good balance with a quick transfer, plenty of arm strength and makes accurate throws. Has the tools to be a very good defensive third baseman in the future. Key to his ceiling is getting to his power more consistently. Verbal commitment to Wake Forest.
