Alexander Jackson is a 2019 OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Venus, TX who attends Venus High School. Medium, athletic frame with broadness to shoulders and present strength to build, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary outfielder, does a nice job of getting low while moving towards the ball, fields it out front and funnels into a long and loose arm action, utilizes a crow hop to gain momentum and works on top of throws with an over-the-top release, takes extra steps through release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with weight loaded on backside. Upper body dominant swing, works with a linear plane through the zone and creates line drive contact coming off the barrel. Stays short to and through the ball, shows contact skills, projects with incorporate of weight shift through lower half, comfort working the pull side. Good student.
