Carson Ohland is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Maple Valley, WA who attends Tahoma. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Has run a 6.99 sixty at PG events in the past. Showed good lower half flexibility and quickness behind the plate defensively, is comfortable in his crouch, simple and easy transfer on his throws, makes accurate online throws with nice carry, solid overall catching tools. Switch-hitter at the plate, has a similar approach from both sides of the plate, hits from a balanced and open stance with quiet hands to start his swing, creates good bat speed through the zone, bit more extension from the right side, stays on plane well. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Washington. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
