Brian Hallum is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano West Senior. Posted a 7.31 in the 60. Primary RHP is a very projectable physical athlete fitting the part on the mound with clean actions extending downhill. He showed a strong feel for a full pitch arsenal for strikes. He was up to 86 with quality jump out the hand and good plane with a clean 3/4 slot release and fluid arm. He has a mature two-plane breaking ball mix that played very effectively landing both to generate missed barrels and played well off good fade action on the change up. Versatile athleticism held productive at 1B as well utilizing good fielding mechanics and awareness making plays with strength throwing across. Right-handed hitter starts spread base and deep handset with good feel to launch and flashed best impact pull side. The swing is a longer path leaving low room for error with good potential to refine. Good student. Named to the 2021 Lone Star Showcase Top Prospects List.
