2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 6)
Tripp Landers is a 2023 C/3B, OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Clinton, AR who attends IMG Academy. Very physical build, densely muscled frame and good athleticism to go with it. Primary position C, working from an offset stance and gaining big ground in transition to his throws. Glove is out front and showed quick exchange to appropriately short arm action. Generated throws up to 79 mph from behind the dish and registered a 1.89 pop time to second. Very aggressive overall operation and emerging accuracy on feeds. LHH with a wide base and in line stance, high hand set and high back elbow. Displayed good bat speed with a pull approach and nice whip in his hands. When the ball traveled and he stayed in the middle of the field the ball came off the barrel with hard backspin line drive trajectory. Excellent student in the classroom and has the potential to be a real offensive catcher.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
