2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Michael Brown is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Shadow Ridge. Smaller young build. Switch-hitter at the plate, swung the bat very well from the left side in the games with a short and quick swing with an inside hand path, showed loose hands and an accurate barrel while working the ball to the middle of the field. Right handed swing is longer with a bit more bat speed and carry but not as technically sound a swing. 7.71 runner in the sixty. Has good lower half quickness on defense in the middle infield, works behind and through the ball well with good balance and timing, can change arm angles on the run with good accuracy and a quick release. Nice young athlete who will keep improving in proportion to how much he grows and gets stronger, has skills already well in place. Good student.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
