Luis Martinez is a 2021 C with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland. Medium frame with extra weight on build. Ran a 7.86 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, showed solid footwork while receiving the baseball well, stiff front side on the throw down with weight staying back, inconsistent throws with a smoother arm action. Righthanded hitter, starts with a slightly open stance before leaning back into the plate, good posture with a balanced look doing a good job of carrying weight through swing, flashed a smooth bat while taking a solid round of BP, patient at the plate in games , pull side pop with a linear swing path, created loud contact. Outstanding student.
