Brooks Wright is a 2024 C/RHP, UT with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Bearden. Recorded a 7.35 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and strong build. Side-saddle with right leg lower setup on throws from a low stance. Gains ground from a strong lower-half with arm strength on throws at 82 mph for a pop time of 1.95 seconds. Strong frame and arm strength transcends across the board and into his secondary right-handed pitcher position. Simple delivery with a side-step to a lower leg lift and shorter arm action off the bump. Ran the fastball up to 87 mph with a slider in the upper-70s. Goes right at hitters with two power pitches for the age group and a future closer mentality. Right-handed hitter with a balanced even base and high-hands set. Hands separate with a deep load and small stride trigger for an uphill pull-side swing path. The strength of his frame allows for big juice to the pull-side without over swinging. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 All-American Showcase Top Prospect List.
