2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Nicolas Pepe is a 2022 C/3B, IF, UT with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends IMG Academy. Medium frame with strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.49 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, short stride, churning hand load, high hands and back elbow in set, rotational with pull-side approach, gets the barrel out and has strength pull-side, solid power projection. Worked out behind the plate, sets well, solid receiving skills, throws from lower slot down to 2nd base, clocked up to 70 mph. Very good student.
