Philip Cole is a 2019 OF/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Columbus, OH who attends Bishop Hartley HS. Medium frame with solid present build; good projection remaining. Impact runner, ran 60 yard dash in 6.63 seconds. Sets up to hit from narrow, open stance with big leg lift trigger and high back elbow. Hip stays open through stride, minimal lower half incorporation, flashes hand quickness through line drive stroke, showed ability to make ground ball contact to all fields. Speed is impactful once ball is put in play, both out of the box and on the bases. Worked out in two spots. Primary outfielder, smoothness to footwork, maintains momentum through the ball, smooth athleticism and footwork overall, throws under the ball a bit, clocked up to 76 mph. Twitch to feet in the infield, glove down late at times, exaggerated windup for throws across the diamond, clocked up to 76 mph. Named to 2017 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
