Kevin Maurer is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Woodstock. Athletic, lean frame with projection for the future. Ran the sixty in 8.12 seconds. A primary LHP, he throws out of a 3/4 arm slot and his fastball sat 77-81 MPH and touched as high as 83 MPH. Showed advanced command to all quadrants of the zone. Also in the arsenal is a curveball with 3/4 break and a late fading changeup. Repeats his delivery well and filled up the zone his entire outing. In the outfield his top throw was clocked at 77 MPH and in the infield his top throw was 80 MPH from the first base position. At the plate, he hits out of an open stance with a high back elbow load. Bat path has loft to it to go along with solid bat speed. Great student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
