Yale Griffiths is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Leawood, KS who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Recorded a 7.25 sixty yard dash time. Tall and lanky frame with some strength at present. Primary pitcher who released from his ear with a clean and easy delivery, utilizes a short and in line arm action, keeps everything compact. Fastball flashes some arm side run. Featured a curveball that has developing 11-5 shape with depth, tends to slow his arm down when throwing from time to time. Has plenty of potential on the mound. Secondary first baseman who was fluid and moved around the bag well, with a strong arm and accuracy around the diamond. Right-handed hitter with an even base and open stance, utilizes a leg lift. Physical strength in swing, hands direct to the baseball with gap-to-gap power, and good feel for barrel. Collected two hits in game with well-struck singles. Good upside with two-way potential. Good student. Great student. Named to the 2023 Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
