Carson Dougherty is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Marietta. Tall, athletic frame with plenty of physical projection remaining. At the plate starts with exaggerated high hands. Strides inward with a busy barrel. Drifts at times to the front side. Demonstrated. middle approach in his BP round. If he could refine and simplify his swing, Dougherty could have over the fence power potential. Defensively he showed the ability to work through the baseball using proper foot/glove mechanics at both the infield and outfield positions, but could use some refinement. Demonstrated he has a plus arm tool and good feel for accuracy to the bag and across the diamond. There is projection and upside on the mound. Offset start to simple belt high leg lift with slight torso tilt towards first base. Still hands at chest into deep full arm stroke that stays in line with torso. Easy movement down the mound with long stride and good extension. Release height causes problems for hitters as it rides through the hitting zone. Curveball rolls through the zone with no abrupt bite. Flashed an average changeup. Clocked a 7.1 60-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
