Blake Grimmer is a 2023 SS/1B/3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Spring Lake, MI who attends Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.68 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with two hands, extra step moving through the ball, works to a lower slot on throws across when needed and shows nice accuracy on to first base, arm strength will continue to develop. Left-handed hitter, begins with an even base and hands in near chest, loads them back at start of swing; utilizes a toe toe trigger for timing moving into contact. Stays compact through launch and shows quickness to barrel through the zone, creates some separation and shows loft at the point of contact. Ball carries well off of the barrel to either gap, power projection is there moving forward with added physical strength. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Tennessee.
