Alvin Keels is a 2022 SS/2B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Portsmouth, VA who attends Maury. Well proportioned athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Quick twitch athlete, 6.48 in the sixty, uses his speed aggressively on the bases. Right handed hitter, has a clean low tension swing with lots of present bat speed, creates barrel whip and can turn the barrel on pitches, line drive swing that has shown plenty of power and carry in the past, projects well as a hitter. Second base actions and profile on defense in the middle infield, has good range with with quick feet moving to the ball, compact arm action. Also has the tools to potentially play centerfield in the future. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
