Alberto Lara is a 2021 1B/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Bishop Dunne Catholic. Medium frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, torques hips well and incorporates lower half, coils well and uncoils strongly, line drive swing plane, good strength on a line off the barrel. Primary 1st baseman, hands later in funnel but clean, clocked up to 79 mph on throws. Also took infield reps, shows the hands again, some lateral agility, clocked up to 77 mph on throws. Good student.
