Brody Smith is a 2021 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 167 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Temecula Valley. Large frame with a slender frame and room to fill out. Ran a 7.12 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Fields the ball out front with some quickness to exchanges. Gets behind the ball well. Hooked arm action in back with some carry to the infield on throws that top out at 77 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a very wide base to start. Short swing to the ball with a line drive plane. Works contact to the middle of the field well and will occasional go to the opposite field. Secondary righthanded pitcher working exclusively from the stretch. Drop and drive actions down the mound while staying in line to the plate. Fastball with short life from a three-quarters slot at 76 miles per hour. Loose spinning breaking ball with an 11-to-5 shape. Finds some weak contact off the bat.
