Connor Gill is a 2020 3B/RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional size and strength with continue maturity. Primary third baseman with deliberate footwork while moving to and surrounding the baseball. Stays low while funneling the baseball and worked through transfer efficiently. Throws produced softer, accurate carry across the infield topping at 65 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance and high back elbow set. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed good balanced throughout swing and utilized a mid field to opposite field approach throughout batting practice and game play. Also pitched showing a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Quick, compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed occasional run to arm side in the mid to upper 60's, topped at 68 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/5 shape with loose spin and some depth in the mid 50's. Also flashed a changeup offering with the ability to turn over and create some fade. Primarily looked to fill the strike zone with develop feel to each edge of the plate. Good student as well.
