Carson Hamro is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-5 188 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Rancho Buena Vista. Long and angular build, high waist, lots of room to get stronger. Extended 3/4's arm slot, lands closed out front and throws across his body with some effort, arm is fast and loose with good extension out front. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, gets on hitters quick and has good angle with his release point. Outstanding high spin rate curveball, regularly in the 2700-2800 rpm range, has two-plane snap to hit and lands it well for strikes. Very interesting projection with his body and ability to spin the ball. Very good student.
