Roman Furuta is a 2023 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Union, KY who attends Larry A. Ryle. Medium frame with athletic, twitchy build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.76 seconds. Hits from even-bases stance with high back elbow, shifts well into swing, simple operation in lower half that he repeats well, more linear stroke but getting it out front with bat speed and finding consistent barrel, good whole-field approach, consistent hard contact. Primary infielder, athletic look, bouncy footwork with easy movement patterns, glove works well out front, transfers quickly and cleanly, consistently balanced, clocked up to 78 mph on throws.
