Walker Allen is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Mountain Brook. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, gets the ball out of glove quickly, longer arm stroke working to a higher slot, moves around well for size and showed athleticism on the charge, plays under control and repeats well. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; strides into contact and gets closed with front side. Shifts weight early at times, looseness to hands and wrists, shows some present lift to path. Easy carry off the barrel, nice strength when squared and more to come moving forward. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
