Gian Gamelli is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Wenham, MA who attends Hamilton-Wenham Regional. Long, lean frame with tons of physical projection. Primary left-handed pitcher, athletic down the slope with a loose and quick arm, everything comes out of a three-quarters slot. Fastball has some arm-side sink to it, up to 86 mph and mixed three off-speed pitches, curveball at 70 mph with 1-7 shape and a slider with sweep. Also threw a changeup in the upper-70s that had typical fade. Left-handed hitter, medium and even base, slight leg lift trigger, worked well to all fields showing advanced bat speed and juice to both gaps. Bunch of power to project on as he adds strength. Secondary first baseman, athleticism really stood out with fundamental footwork and great actions. Showed the ability to change slots on accurate throws to both bags, recorded throws up to 81 mph. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Notre Dame. Named to 2023 PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
