Justin Esters is a 2019 RHP/ with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Calabasas, CA who attends Agoura. Large frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength with continued physical development. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth paced side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays slightly flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Lands in line with the plate on front side and carries momentum to target. Deep arm circle at separation and released from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well generated heavy downhill angle thorough the zone in the low to mid 80's, topped at 86 miles per hour. Slider showed tight spin with solid tilt to glove side in the mid 70's. Also flashed a cutter that had good shape to glove side, created good deception at release point. Showed good feel throughout each inning of work consistently working to each edge of the plate with all pitches. Frame and arm action project for additional velocity with continue development. Named to the 2017 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
