Julian Vascot is a 2021 C/RHP/UT with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Killeen, TX who attends Ellison HS. Slender young build, lots of time and room to get stronger. 6.74 runner, has quickness to all his actions behind the plate on defense, has nice footwork for his age, stays flexible and low setting the target and receiving the ball, gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws with some arm strength for his age, very interesting catching tools for his build and age. Right handed hitter, big leg raise trigger sometimes leaves him late, has good hand quickness and handles the barrel well, line drive contact, will continue to improve offensively with additional strength. Also pitched, loose actions with a long stride out to release, high 3/4's arm slot creates angle, threw strikes with a mid-70's fastball and soft curveball.
