Carson Peggins is a 2021 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Roanoke, VA who attends Lord Botetourt. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.56 seconds. Hits from narrow-based stance, wants to get the ball in the air, gets on plane well, shows ability to loft the ball pull side in BP as well as towards center field in game, strength present, good power projection in swing. Worked out at first base, fields cleanly with deep funnel, turns and throws, has some arm strength, clocked up to 78 mph. Also pitched, full arm stroke to high three quarters slot, back elbow gets high, upper half-dominant delivery, fastball worked 74-78 mph with some cut to it, repeats delivery, showed curveball with slurvy shape in the mid-60's, flashes depth. Good student.
