Max Miller is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Fort Worth Country Day. Strong, stocky build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.66 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online through finish. Compact arm action in the back going to a mid three-quarter arm slot at release with developing arm speed. Works at a fast pace with good rhythm keeping hitters off balance in the box. Flashed a fastball with consistent arm side run and sink up to 77 MPH complemented with a 12/6 breaking ball at 65 MPH. At first base showed confident glove actions with clean footwork working to and through the baseball. Showed the ability to work off the base with quick footwork and transfers into throws with good arm strength topping out at 76 MPH across the diamond. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a leg lift trigger and high hand set up. Displayed a compact inside hand path to the baseball creating middle to opposite field line drive contact. Flashed good barrel speed and barrel control creating consistently driven line drive contact to and through the gaps in the outfield. Showed the ability to drive the ball to and through the gaps in the outfield with a slightly elevated barrel path at times when on time and squared. Great student.
