Blake Fields is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends The First Academy. Medium broad shouldered build with very good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a hanging leg raise load from a narrow start, has a short and simple swing with an inside hand path, has strength at contact and can drive the gaps, hits under control with some projection as he learns to open up his swing and use his strength. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields the ball out front with good glove position, has a short and compact arm action, gets into his lower half well throwing, gets on top of his throws with good carry, solid all around actions and tools. Also pitched, big side step start into a coil above the rubber, high front side to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, got some swing and miss on a sweeping curveball and threw strikes with both pitches. Good student.
