Buddy Munroe -- Munroe is a sophomore catcher from Florida who has already established himself as one of the best defensive catchers in his class. He has a strong, mature body for his age that combines good strength and quickness. Munroe also looks like he has good aptitude and has had some good coaching, because he’s very polished and fundamentally sound for a young player. Munroe’s arm strength is excellent for a sophomore and good for anyone. He has a quick, controlled release and his throws are straight and accurate. That combination is going to throw out a lot of runners. Munroe’s quickness is obvious behind the plate, too, in receiving the ball. At the plate, Munroe has a narrow stance with a short toe tap stride. He generates very good bat speed with a level, line drive cut. Munroe drove some balls hard into the alleys in both batting practice and in games. This is a premium prospect who is fun to watch play, he's even close to a MLB average runner. Buddy is a good student.
