Matt Haley is a 2019 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Crowley, TX who attends Joshua HS. Large frame with slender, projectable build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.33 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, hides the ball well through the back and creates plane from high three quarters slot, creates good angles, fastball worked 81-86 mph with very projectable arm speed. Showed curveball with 1/7 shape and sharp depth; also worked in firmer slider with good bite--very good upside as pitcher. Showed good barrel skills as well, consistently on time with bat, has some strength there, showed ability to work to all fields, can turn on the ball with authority, good hitting tools. Worked out in the outfield, fields and throws, showed arm strength up to 86 mph. Named to 2018 Sunshine South Top Prospect List, very good student.
