Brendan Durfee is a 2020 C with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Monrovia, CA who attends St. Francis HS. Big athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Solid fundamentals behind the plate defensively, good footwork with a clean exchange, long and loose arm stroke with good arm strength and accurate on-line throws, 2.01 best pop time, can continue to work on his lower half quickness and flexibility. Left handed hitter, hits with a high back elbow that stays up too long, closed from side to start with a rotational upper body swing, front side will come off early, line drive swing plane with pull side contact, has the strength to keep improving with adjustments. Good student.
