Jordan Goldmann is a 2019 RHP/2B, 3B, SS, IF with a 6-0 137 lb. frame from Encinitas, CA who attends Canyon Crest Academy. Medium frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth paced side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Created some front side swing but lands in line with the plate and carries momentum through finish. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed good downward tilt to the plate with occasional run to arm side in the low to mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Curveball had proper shape with tight spin when staying on top of offering. Also flashed a changeup that had some cutting action to glove side with sink in the mid 60's. Stays in tempo well and consistently repeated arm action. Tempo and consistency allowed for good command to each edge of the plate. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth, athletic strides while ranging to each side. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball with smooth exchanges. Changed arm action while on the run producing accurate carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with a tall, open stance and compact hand set. Hands launch on a loose path to contact creating a line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily looked to work to the middle of the field, but also showed the balanced and barrel skills to work the other way. Good student.
