Christopher Giacalone is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Wayne, NJ who attends Wayne Hills. Recorded a 7.30 second 60-yd dash time. Slender, high waisted frame with some room to fill out. Primary Left-handed pitcher; uses rocker step to a high, inward leg lift at the belt. Aggressive delivery with a lot of moving parts and an aggressive front side.. Working from a three-quarters arm slot, attacked the zone using occasional cutting fastball while mixing in a slower curveball at 64 mph with varying shapes. Sat low-80s for entirety of outing, despite losing command in second inning, flashed developing change-up with depth at 71 mph. Will be more consistent with continued refinement of mechanics, eliminating some of his spastic movements. Secondary first basemen with deliberate actions, segmented fielding process and accuracy across the diamond. Used shuffling foot work into throws from an over-the-top slot with an elongated release. Left-handed hitter with a wide base, high hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates a rigid one plane, downhill swing path with present barrel quickness and strength when squared up. Produces some impact when on time, while staying through the middle of the field. Will improve with added strength and proper mechanical adjustments. Good Student.
