Sammy Ericson is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Cherokee. Lean athletic build with plenty of growing to do. Works from the stretch with a high hand set start, short and compact arm action with good arm quickness from a tight high 3/4's arm slot, very quick to the plate with runners on base. Worked in the upper 70's with his fastball, topped out at 79 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life. Showed good power and spin to his breaking ball in the upper 60's with a sweeping shape and some depth. 7.38 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound and showed good arm strength with a quick release. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a low hand load, short line drive swing with a middle of the field approach, was consistent in his timing and had some barrel accuracy.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
