Ethan Phillips is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Dunedin, FL who attends Calvary Christian. Long and lean frame with an extremely projectable build. Ran a 6.90 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows polish mechanically as he engages the lower half and drives hard down the mound. Fastball jumps out of the hand and rides through the zone with run to the arm side and good command to either half as he worked comfortably in the upper-80s. Able to sequence pitches well as he spins the curveball in for strikes consistently while getting more swing-and-miss with a slider that showed hard lateral break and projects out well. Also worked out in the outfield, short strides to the ball with a clean funnel while showing the arm strength. Righthanded hitter, shows some bat speed on a longer path as he swings hard and is able to lift with some pop to the pull side. Outstanding student. Named to 2021 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
