Zachary Marceau is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Westfield, NJ who attends Delbarton. Recorded a 8.82 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with young look, long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher, abbreviated wind-up with forty-five degree start, slightly higher leg lift and efficient drop and drive lower half mechanics. Strike thrower that changed tempo and looks throughout his outing with success from a three-quarters arm slot. There is some effort through release but shows ability to command strike zone fairly well with three pitch mix. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s in this look with ability to sink it when needed and flash ride through the zone as well. Changeup is best secondary offering at present with replicated arm speed and fade to its action. Fields position well with present athleticism and quickness. Secondary infielder with good footwork and approach into the fielding process, clean funnel out in front and developing arm strength up to 70 mph in drills. Tends to get a little long into the throwing process with slight glove tap which led to a few timing issues in the defensive workout. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, upright stance with a high back elbow and hover trigger for timing. Leveraged stroke with some compact bat speed, consistent bat-to-ball skills and developing feel for the barrel. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to turn the barrel on the inner half when needed. Will continue to improve with some minor refinements and additional strength as he matures.
