2022 Northeast Prospect Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Eddie Kaufman is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-2 182 lb. frame from Throop, PA who attends Mid Valley. Lean, athletic frame with long levers, a high waist and plenty of room to add strength. Primary outfielder with athletic actions into the fielding process, gathers cleanly off his front foot and maintains momentum into release. Stays behind the baseball well, generates easy carry to his throws and produced above average arm strength up to 89 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a spread, slightly closed stance with a pre-set high hand load and toe-tap trigger for timing. Fairly simple, repeatable stroke with quickness to his hands, a heavy barrel and legitimate power potential to the pullside. Uses rotational lower half mechanics to create torque, generates backspin due to slightly downhill swing path and will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Dynamic athlete with tons of quick twitch and enticing set of tools on both sides of the ball. Excellent Student. Named to the 2022 Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
