Devon Cass is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from New City, NY who attends Clarkstown North Senior. As a primary SS, Cass flashed range up the middle with clean glovework and zip across the diamond up to 83 mph. The footwork was sound and showcased the ability to change slots when needed. On the mound, Cass used a compact 3/4 slot to challenge hitters up in the zone with a hammer curveball in the back pocket as a wipeout pitch. He has life in the arm and still has time to fill out the build and further increase velocity potential. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open stance with solid weight shift to create backspin and carry gap to gap. He displayed lift in the stroke and posted an exit velo of 87 mph. Ran a 7.25 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
