Matthew Malloy is a 2020 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Carrollton, TX who attends Creekview. Medium build with some present strength and room for more. Low effort delivery on the mound with a deep arm action in back coming to a high 3/4's arm slot. Upper 60's fastball, topped out at 70 mph, gets good downhill plane on the pitch. Sweeping soft curveball, change up has slight fading action, looks to throw strikes and challenge hitters. Right handed hitter, limited lower half shift with a late lift and replace leg load, needs to get his foot down sooner, upper body rotational swing. 7.32 runner, also plays middle infield on defense with second base tools and actions. Good student.
