Jack Smith is a 2022 RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Solid athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Has a loose and quick arm from a high 3/4's arm slot, good extension front and back, works in line with the plate well with his lower half. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. True three-pitch starter profile with two solid secondary pitches in his curveball and change up. Change up has nice arm speed at release and plenty of fading action. Curveball showed some power and sharpness with 12/6 shape at times. Threw strikes with all his pitches and competed hard. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
