Luke Diekmann is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Evansville, IN who attends Home School. Square shouldered athletic build, large frame that will easily add strength and size. 7.31 runner, fields out front well in the outfield with clean glove actions, has some arm strength, can improve throwing angles for more on-line throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a deep hand load, wrapped barrel to start creates some swing length, glides into contact with his lower half, swings hard and creates some bat speed, has the hitting tools and bat speed to keep improving with adjustments. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a tall delivery. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with very good sinking action down in the zone. Short breaking slider. Has the arm strength to develop as a two-way talent.
