Isaac Quintanilla is a 2023 3B/RHP, 2B, SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Diamond Bar, CA who attends San Dimas. Medium, broad shouldered frame with strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, glove plays at the ball, works into a shorter arm action through the back, shows ability to drop slot some, occasionally gets around the ball at release, short steps moving towards the ball. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, simple leg lift, gathers with balance at top; short and quick arm circle and hides the ball. Works around the zone, fastball topped out at 78 mph with some cut action, pitched to contact, will continue to develop consistent feel for curveball, showed 11-5 shape when on top and on time with release up to 64 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Early load, does a nice job of getting hands going into swing and shows strength and quickness in them. Gets the barrel through the zone and out front at contact, occasionally gets front foot down early, power projects.
