Santos Torrez is a 2021 C/RHP/UT with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Lakewood, CO who attends Alameda HS. Medium build with some present strength in his lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a small toe tap load, arm generated swing with a direct path to the ball, downward swing path, ground ball middle of the field contact. 8.01 runner, plays both infield and catcher, more advanced and comfortable behind the plate right now, developing arm strength. Also pitched, slow paced delivery with a slow leg lift out front, high 3/4's arm slot, tall and fall actions to release. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, threw both a curveball and change up as well. Good student.
