Scott Templeton is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, SC who attends Oceanside Collegiate. Scott is a emerging athlete with a long and lean frame that will certainly allow for growth as he continues to mature physically. He ran a 7.84 60-yard dash. A primary pitcher, Scott uses his length and fundamentally sound mechanics to pound the strike zone with three solid, projectable pitches. He pitches off his active, 80-83 mph FB that he throws down in the zone and to all four quadrants. His 1/7 breaking CB at 72-mph is routinely deceptive. He compliments throse two pitches with a well-commanded change-up that is thrown with the same arm action as his FB. He is also an exceptional defensive fielding hurler. At 1B, he shows quick feet, soft hands, a smooth and consistent transition and a firm 78-mph throwing arm that is highly accurate. At the plate, the athletic LHH shows a balanced load and quick hands. His ability to make solid contact is commendable. Lastly, Scott is a exceelent student in the classroom.
