Tyler Pyle is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Richmond, MO who attends Richmond. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary shortstop with aggressive footwork while traveling to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball and worked through exchange with developing fluidity. Showed developing range while moving to the baseball to each side. Released from a low three-quarters slot generating some on line carry to the bag, topped at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, spread stance and high back elbow set. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted plane through extension. Looked to work the baseball to each gap throughout batting practice. Flashed some jump off the barrel when creating separation out front and extending through baseball. Also pitched utilizing an large rock step to very high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side and utilized lower half well while driving to the plate with drop and drive actions. Released from a low three-quarters slot created occasional downhill tilt with some cut to glove side, topped at 79 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/4 shape with tight spin and some sweep to glove side. Also flashed a changeup that showed good run with late sink in the upper 60's. Aggressively attacked the zone with all three pitches while showing developing feel for the outer edge. Very good student as well.
